Traditional and Modern Gift Giving
Oct 31st, 2009 by Terry Smith

Gifts are always present in different occasions. Birthdays and Christmas holidays are perhaps the most common days, but people also give gifts during birth of a new born, housewarming, graduation events, homecoming, anniversary, and a lot more. Feelings such as love, appreciation and gratitude have been the common theme of gift giving.

Giving gifts has been a tradition for many years. Since the old times, gift may come in different kinds. One of the most popular are the gifts of the three kings on Christmas– gold, frankincense, and myrrh. They might symbolize anything but all gifts are representation of a person’s feelings towards another.

Gifts before are usually offered as is. No fancy packaging or design. Just the plain item is directly presented to the recipient. As the years went by, boxes, wrappers and ribbons are utilized by people. This makes the gift more presentable and in addition, it now offers the element of surprise. The recipients now feel excitement whenever a well-wrapped gift is offered to them. This is especially true for kids during Christmas or birthdays. Nowadays, modern gift options are now available. Gift certificates and prepaid gift cards perhaps are the most popular non-traditional gifts. It may have removed the concept of surprise for gifts, but it opened the idea of flexibility in choosing the right gift.

Partnership Law

While there is no partnership agreement law it is still a good idea to have one on file. Having a written partnership agreement on file is going to benefit your partnership because it will explain how you are going to run your partnership, which includes management rights and responsibilities of each partner. Under partnership law, there are no special rules or regulations that you have to follow when forming a partnership. Under the partnerships law of many states there are no meetings you have to conduct nor do you have to keep a record of minutes. The only special partnership law that you will need to worry about is limited partnership law and that only applies to you if you are forming a limited partnership.
