Buying a new Nintendo Wii, the hottest video gaming system around, can be very exciting. When you buy a Wii system it includes all you need to get started playing, but there are Wii remote accessories that can enhance your gaming experience even further. The standard system comes with the Wii Game console and stand, one Wii Remote controller and one Nunchuk controller, a sensor bar, Wii Sports, power cord, and cable. It is a complete system but here are some cool accessories you can add to make your playing experience even more enjoyable.
One thing you will probably want to add is extra controllers so that you can go head to head against your friends or family members, especially with the Wii Sports games. The Wii can handle up to four controllers at a time, so you may want to add on extra Wii Remotes or Nunchuk controllers so that you can play games with up to 4 controllers at a time. If you are playing shooting games, you can also get one of the many Wii guns available.
The Nintendo Wii is also compatible with Nintendo GameCube games as well as Wii games, so if this is something that interests you, you may want to get a GameCube controller. This will enable you to play even more games on your Wii, including the classic games. You also will want to have a GameCube memory card so that your progress through the games isn’t lose every time you shut off your Wii. With a memory card you can say your game progress. If you already have a GameCube controller or memory card you won’t have to buy new ones because they are compatible with Wiis.
The Wii system is also internet ready and you can download a lot of Nintendo’s classic games. However the downloads aren’t free. So you may want to get a prepaid Wii Points card to use when buying downloads of your favorite Nintendo games. If you do plan on downloading a lot of games you may want to buy a larger memory card, such as a 1 gig SD memory card to fit all of your downloaded games.
To access the internet so that you can download games and other system functions, there is one very important Wii remote accessory that you need to have. That is the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector. This will allow you to access the internet with your Wii and you can surf the web as well as play and download games.
