It is the year 2009, and while many people would like to keep their heads in the sand, this means that we are deep into the computer age. While most of us feel at least relatively comfortable with a computer, the reality is that so many people out there do not - and a sizable minority of people are woefully unequipped to handle even the simplest computer function or application. For those people, I would suggest a class or any number of books offering tips on computers. The simple truth is that without some cursory knowledge of how run a computer or use its programs, individuals will find themselves cut off from society at large and often times unable to compete for jobs or positions with other more computer savvy individuals. Also, everyday items like cell phones and ATM machines require at least minimal computing skills and, as the word becomes ever more connected and techno based computer knowledge and know how will only become that much more important.
