One of the easiest and cheapest ways to gain more space in your closet is to switch your current hangers for a set of space saving clothes hangers. You may not realize it but standard hangers take up a lot of space in your closet. This is compounded when your hangers are all different types and sizes and do not hang well with each other in the closet. If you get some space saving hangers, choose the same brand or style so that all your hangers are uniform. This in itself will cut back on wasted space. A space saving hanger is usually thinner and flatter than a regular plastic hanger so it sits nicely with other space save hangers in your closet. In addition, a space saver hanger is usually able to hold more than one item which gives you additional space in your closet.
