Beet Juicing Recipes
Jul 23rd, 2009 by admin

Beets are incredible vegetables.  Beet juice have the most sugar of all vegetables, and they are used often in vegetable juicing recipes.  However, their juice is too strong on their own and must be diluted with other juice.  There have been reports of beets temporarily paralyzing your vocal chords if drank in excess.

Beets are known for “cleaning the blood.”  They can lower bad cholesterol and triglycerides in the body, while increasing the good cholesterol.  Beets are also linked to reducing the risk of osteoporosis and heart disease.  Some of the nutrients found in beets are folic acid, potassium and manganese.

When juicing, always dilute beet juice with something else.  You can also juice the leaves of the beet.  Here is a great beet juicing recipe:

  • 3 carrots
  • 1 small beet
  • 1 celery stalk
  • handful of spinach
